Ash Wednesday Mass.

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday which marks the start of Jesus’s journey in the forest for forty days and forty nights. And when he marks he’s going to die for us all. So we put his ashes on our heads. So we went into church and sang the opening church song. Then father told us it is Ash Wednesday and all of that then we went past the fabulous readings and gospel. Father then talked about what Ash Wednesday is and how we should show kindness to each other. Then he and some of the parish prepared the ashes. We went and put on the ashes and we were told not to rub them so we didn’t then holy communion came but only the people that have received it go but I haven’t so I didn’t go after we sang the final hymn and we came back to class what a wonderful Ash Wednesday.
