DLO. For Reading and Religious Education.
It is another day of Distance Learning. So this was TWP 4's activity for Religious Education and Reading for the day. We had to create a DLO of God.
Our teacher gave us scriptures from the Old Testament. We had to choose 6 scriptures to read and we had to write What describes god in that scripture so like if he was described as a mother I put a picture of a mother so I put a picture of my mum. So I put this activity in a DLO/Digital Learning Object. This activity is based on Religious Education but its based on reading. This is my DLO.

Literacy Poems.
Covid - 19 Lock Down Poem.
Doors and Windows all close,
I don't see my friends,
Covid - 19 Lock down,
Go away so Lock Down will end.
Virus Poem.
People Dying People Crying,
Please enough of that,
A Virus will kill you,
That's a true fact.
Bubble Poem.
Covid - 19 is causing a lot of trouble,
So for your safety,
Stay in your bubble.
Pandemic Poem.
The Covid - 19 is a Global outbreak disease,
When it is gone,
We will all be free.

Literacy Writing.
It's still lock down and things have changed. First I stopped attending school because our principal doesn't want us getting the Covid - 19, and because Jacinda Adern our prime minister said it's for the children's safety. Some people might wonder "then how do you do school?" Well I do school through technology. I am lucky to have a Chromebook to do my learning through. Our teacher sets up a google meet on hangouts for me and my class to go on so we can see her. She then does prayer with us. And tells us our learning we have to complete for the day. I've never done google meets before so it's a new experience for me.
Secondly my dad stopped working but my mum kept working. So I get to spend more time with my dad. We do so much together we do my work together like he helps me. He also watches movies with me. Before I never got to spend time with him because he was always at work and when he came back he was tired and was sleepy. Right now if you're struggling like your parents are riding my horse. My parents struggle paying the bills but they make it work during this hard time.
Lastly if you are a catholic you know that during lock down church closed down. (It's sad and bad. that we don't get to go to church and see Father talking to us and all of that. But it's also good because we can do it at home. That means you and the people in your bubble can just have a time alone with Jesus. But anyways even though things have changed we can work it out in the end.

What my name means to me.
We made a poster of our names and we put it on the wall in our classroom. We then had to write a little tiny poster about what our name means to us. This is mine.
My name means special to me because I’m named after a Saint, and my mum's first brother. Usually you are supposed to be named after your dad's family but instead I was named after my first uncle. I like being named after him. He's a good inspiration. His name is Mamana and so is mine. My second name Francis was chosen by my first aunts my dad’s eldest sister Sr Leva Vaihu. Because she wanted me to be named after a Saint so she chose Saint Francis of Assisi. Saint Francis is my favourite saint so it’s a great honour to be named after him. Francis was also my baptism name. I love my name and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love to be called Francis Mamana Jnr Vaihu Veikoso.
